MAM hires Ford from SWIP for US equity launch

MAM Funds has hired Scottish Widows Investment Partnership's Nick Ford as part of a drive to expand its investment capabilities.

Ford will join as MAM's fund manager for US equities, having been investment director on the US and global desk at SWIP where he managed the North American fund and other mandates. His previous roles include a seven-year stint as co-manager of the Gartmore US Smaller Companies fund. MAM said the hire is part of its strategy to launch "distinct new funds" in order to boost assets under management.
