Small caps and European focused investment trusts topped the performance charts in the third quarter, while Japanese portfolios lagged, new data from Oriel Securities has revealed.
North Atlantic Smaller Companies, headed up by Christopher Mills, is the best performing closed-ended fund over the past three months, posting a 14.6% NAV rise over the period, according to research from the broker. The fund benefitted as investor appetite for risk improved, as moves by central banks and politicians to resolve the various global crises were well received by markets.
