OBSR founders Richard Romer-Lee and Nigel Whittingham have left Morningstar OBSR to take a career break from the industry.
Romer-Lee (pictured), founder of OBSR and a well known figure in the investment industry, became managing director of Morningstar's investment consulting operations in Europe in 2010, after OBSR was bought by Morningstar. Meanwhile Whittingham, development director at OBSR who joined in 2007, has stepped down as managing director of Morningstar OBSR in the UK and Ireland. They have been replaced in the interim by Geoff Balzano, CEO of Morningstar UK, and Hal Ratner, chief investment officer for Morningstar Investment Management in Europe.
