The US shares 'at most attractive levels for 60 years'

Investors should snap up bargains in US healthcare, technology and financial stocks which offer better value than any time over the past 60 years, Legg Mason's chief investment officer Sam Peters has said.

Despite worries about the sustainability of earnings for many US corporates, and the elevated levels which US indices have now reached, Peters said there was value to be found across several sectors. He said investors should avoid crowded trades and instead look for the widest dispersions in the market, in areas such as healthcare. "The technology and healthcare sectors have seen growth expectations collapse and the finance sector is battling regulatory concern, but in all cases they are at 60-year lows, and this is where our biggest overweights are," said Peters, who succeeded Legg M...
