Tong joins SWIP after Alliance Trust closes UK equity desk

Neil Tong, formerly head of UK equities at Alliance Trust, has joined SWIP's fixed income team as a senior credit analyst.

Tong (pictured), who left Alliance Trust after 16 years of service in August following the group's decision to close its UK equity desk, will work across SWIP's UK and European credit team, led by Daniel McKernan. "SWIP has an established and in-depth approach to credit research and stock selection which, combined with our assets under management, makes us one of the largest and most competitive players in this market," said McKernan.
