RWC launches Cayman fund for ex-Hermes team

RWC has unveiled a Cayman fund to be managed by the European focus team, which recently joined from Hermes.

RWC poached Hermes' 12-strong investment team in September, as Investment Week exclusively revealed, in a deal that led to Hermes' $800m Focus fund range and three teams in charge of the products transferring over to RWC. The Cayman vehicle will be run by six of the team and headed up by Maarten Wildschut and Petteri Soininen. The European focus team currently run $300m of assets in RWC's Constructive Activist and pan-European equity funds.
