UBS's top-performing US manager resurfaces at BlackRock

Ex-UBS manager Lawrence Kemp has resurfaced at BlackRock's New York office, where he has been appointed as managing director and head of the firm's fundamental large-cap growth team.

Kemp left UBS last week after 20 years at the firm, where he was head of US large-cap growth. At UBS, Kemp ran the top performing £128m US Growth fund along with the firm's US Large Cap Growth Equity strategies. He is now set to join BlackRock on 10 December, the group confirmed, reporting to Chris Leavy. Leavy recently took over responsibility for BlackRock's large-cap portfolios from Robert Doll, who announced his retirement in June.
