RLAM appoints head of distribution

Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) has appointed Rob Williams as head of distribution.

He will join in January and will report to Andy Carter, RLAM's chief executive. Williams will lead sales and marketing strategy, promoting RLAM's full range of asset management capabilities to key wholesale and institutional clients. He will also sit on the board. He was previously chief sales and marketing officer and Skandia Investment Group. Carter said: "Both wholesale and institutional asset management markets are increasingly competitive, and while we enjoy a position of strength, we believe there is significant potential to grow RLAM's market share further."
