F&C unveils long/short real estate fund

F&C Asset Management has launched the F&C Real Estate Equity Long/Short fund for managers Raymond Lahaut and Marcus Phayre-Mudge.

The UCITS product offers investors access to the pan-European property market and already has assets of €63.4m. The vehicle will invest in between 20 and 40 pan-European real estate securities on an absolute return basis. It is designed to generate low volatility and is comprised of both long and short positions, with a net exposure ranging between -30% and 30%.
