David North, head of asset allocation and head of global high yield bonds at Legal & General IM, is to leave the group after 12 years.
North (pictured) launched and ran the Legal & General £581m Global Macro Themes fund and £1.4bn High Income trust prior to taking extended sick leave in 2011. Global Macro Themes was then taken over by Ben Gill, with Roger Bartley taking over management of the High Income trust. The group then hired Martin Reeves from Alliance Bernstein in August 2011 to manage High Income.
