Aberdeen Asset Management's multi-manager team is to seed specialist Asian equity house Coupland Cardiff's Japan Income & Growth fund when it launches tomorrow.
The fund, headed by lead manager Richard Aston, is a concentrated portfolio of around 35 stocks, and is being launched to capture the high yield available from Japanese corporates. Coupland Cardiff's fifth fund, it will yield around 4%, and will be focused on growing the dividend yield as well as providing some capital appreciation on the underlying shares.
