Director Ridley Scott launches £5m film EIS

Hollywood director Ridley Scott has partnered with Orchard Media Ventures to launch an enterprise investment scheme which will finance six UK films.

The joint venture between the director's Scott Free Films and Orchard Media Ventures seeks to raise £5m to fund the low budget genre films, for which Scott will act as executive producer. Scott is best known for directing blockbusters including Alien, Blade Runner, Prometheus, Hannibal, and Gladiator. The new series of films, branded 'Ridley Scott Presents', will be horror and suspense thrillers.
