Miton's Williams takes back Henderson Fledgling trust

Miton's managing director Gervais Williams is to take over the management of the Henderson Fledgling investment trust he ran for almost a decade at Gartmore, ahead of a planned merger with his £127m Diverse Income trust.

Following a strategic review of the Henderson trust begun in November last year, the board has decided to make several changes to its investment policy, management team and dividend. It is now seeking shareholder approval for the changes, which will see it focus on small and mid caps instead of fledgling companies, and also consider paying an enhanced interim dividend.
