First State hires ex-Aberdeen bond chief for new role

Former Aberdeen global fixed income bond chief Paul Griffiths has joined First State Investments as CIO of fixed interest and credit.

The newly created role will see him report to CEO Mark Lazberger, after his departure from Aberdeen was announced last week. Lazberger said: "Paul is a very experienced investment professional and is ideally suited to position our fixed interest, short term investment and global emerging market debt capabilities for continued global growth as well as making a broader contribution to our global business strategy."
