BlackRock's McLeod-Clarke takes extended leave

BlackRock's Nick McLeod-Clark has stepped down from running the firm's £698m UK Income fund to take an extended period of leave to recover from poor health.

Adam Avigdori, who has been co-manager of the fund since 2009, will take over as lead manager. A spokesperson for BlackRock said McLeod-Clark (pictured) will not return to the fund after he has recovered from illness but will manage institutional mandates for the group. The group said it is looking to add resources to support the management of the income strategy.
