Artemis hires ex-Henderson manager Casson

Artemis has appointed Henderson's Paul Casson to work alongside Tim Steer, amid a reshuffle at the group which has seen Stephen Yiu exit.

Artemis said Casson (pictured) has joined to help Steer manage the £504m Artemis UK Growth fund, and will also work on its segregated institutional UK Growth accounts and the Artemis UK Hedge fund. Meanwhile Steer's current co-manager Yiu, who joined Artemis with him from New Star in 2009, has resigned in order to move back to his native Hong Kong. Casson exited Henderson in January having joined the firm in October 2005 from SVM. He co-managed the €154m Henderson Horizon Pan European Alpha and €1.7bn Henderson HF Pan European Equity funds.
