A leading emerging markets specialist has said China remains a compelling investment proposition, despite the slowing growth in the region.
The most recent Chinese GDP figures revealed slower than expected growth in the country, and both the Hang Seng and the Shanghai Composite indices are down year to date, 3.36% and 3.7%, respectively. But Giordano Lombardo (pictured), group CIO for Pioneer Investments, is still confident, and is maintaining an overweight in Chinese equities.
