Cofunds' Smith joins Platforum

Verona Smith, marketing director of Cofunds, is to join The Platforum after exiting the fund supermarket in the wake of its takeover by Legal & General.

Smith, a well known figure in the platform space whose departure from Cofunds was revealed by Investment Week earlier this month, has worked at the platform for six years. She is the latest member of Cofunds management team to exit following the takeover by Legal & General. Earlier this month it was announced chief executive Martin Davis - who joined the platform in June 2011 after a stint as CEO of restricted advice firm Openwork - will be leaving imminently.
