Schroders has expanded its fixed income team with the appointment of Bogdan Popovici from US fund group Wellington Management.
He joins the firm as fund manager for global fixed income. He had spent two years at Wellington, where he was a macro portfolio manager on global rates and FX. The group has assets under management of $784bn. Popovici has previously worked for BlackRock within the firm's alpha strategies division, managing portfolios with AUM of more than $25bn. Schroders has made several appointments to its fixed income desk over the last year. In May 2012 the group hired UBS Asset Management's head of UK fixed income Alix Stewart and Konstantin Leidman to work alongside Bob Jolly and Gareth Isaac. ...
