Old Mutual Global Investors has seen inflows of more than £100m into Richard Buxton's UK Alpha fund, ahead of his arrival at the group.
Buxton, who joins Old Mutual today as head of UK equities, already ran a mirror version of his Schroder UK Alpha Plus fund for the group prior to his arrival. That fund - the Old Mutual Equity 3 fund - was renamed the Old Mutual UK Alpha fund after his move to the firm was announced, and assets have soared in the last few weeks ahead of his arrival. In the last two weeks, the fund has taken £110m of inflows, taking overall assets to £263m, Old Mutual said today.
