Standard Life Investments (SLI) has launched a local currency emerging market debt fund to complement its existing hard currency offering.
It is managed by Kieran Curtis, investment director on SLI's emerging markets team. The manager takes a top-down, research driven approach on the fund, which is benchmarked against the JP Morgan GBI-EM Global Diversified index. It targets a long-term return from a combination of income, capital and foreign currency appreciation, by investing primarily in bond securities and emerging market currencies.
