AXA IM's CEO Carrel-Billiard departs

AXA Investment Managers' CEO Dominique Carrel-Billiard is to leave the company, with the head of AXA's Itlaian insurance business Andrea Rossi to take over.

Carrel-Billiard has headed up the firm since 2006 but is now moving on "to pursue other professional projects", the group said today. Rossi (pictured) has been working as head of AXA's Italian insurance group, AXA Assicurazioni, and will start the new role on 22 July. He will pass on this role to Frédéric de Courtois, currently CEO of AXA MPS. Henri de Castries, chairman and chief executive of the AXA Group, said: "AXA IM is well equipped to face the challenges brought on by the financial crisis, and today AXA IM boasts a solid balance sheet and strong investment performances.
