US-based Thornburg Investment Management has launched an unconstrained global equity fund, as the group moves to build its presence in the UK.
The Thornburg Developing World fund is the fifth UCITS offering the group has launched over the past twelve months. Headed by managing director Lewis Kaufman, it will invest in developed market corporates which derive the vast majority of their revenues in faster growing emerging market economies. Kaufman will employ a bottom-up approach focusing on free cashflow generative companies. The fund is a mirror version of the group's $725m US mutual Developing World fund.
