Liontrust's James Inglis-Jones and his team have revamped their European Absolute Return fund and have begun to convert their UK Income fund to a global mandate.
Inglis-Jones (pictured) and co-managers Gary West and Samantha Gleave have concentrated the Absolute Return fund’s long book, halving the number of positions and focusing on a core group of five double-weighted ‘best ideas’. The team is running a diversified book of around 70 short positions, with Inglis-Jones acknowledging it is hard to find ideas to short in the current environment.
