Franklin Templeton has hired former Insight and Armstrong manager Toby Hayes to manage a new multi-asset range, Investment Week can reveal.
The asset manager is intending to launch a trio of OEIC portfolios for Hayes, subject to regulatory approval, targeting returns in excess of either cash or inflation. Hayes will report to Brent Smith, managing director of funds research and management, Franklin Templeton Multi-Asset Strategies, a division which already runs around $29bn (£19bn) in multi-asset portfolios globally.
