Alliance Trust hires Ignis and SWIP managers for bond team

Alliance Trust Investments has appointed Kenny Watson and Dan Daldry to its bond team, reporting to head of fixed income Rod Davidson.

Watson joins from Ignis, where he spent 15 years on the smaller companies and fixed income desks, and will focus on credit and high yield. Daldry, who will cover credit analysis, joins from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership having spent five years at the firm, most recently on its Absolute Return Bond fund team. "The team is now a good size and is well positioned to enable the company to push the fixed income business forward into 2014 and beyond," Davidson (pictured) said.
