Charles Hepworth, investment director in charge of the DFM proposition at GAM, has revealed five new additions and fund switches in the group's model portfolios.
One of the key asset classes in the portfolio is absolute return, where Hepworth (pictured) has added two new funds in the summer. He has invested in Alken Absolute Return Europe, run by Nicolas Walewski, which is up 16.6% over the year to 28 October, compared to an average of 5.8% for the IMA Targeted Absolute Return sector, according to FE. He has also switched from James Hanbury's Odey Absolute Return fund into the Odey Allegra Developed Markets fund, after the former was soft-closed earlier in the year.
