Pictet: The mega trends that have thrived this year

Biotech, digital communications and clean energy have been the three best performing themes in Pictet's Global Megatrends Selection fund this year.

The fund invests across Pictet's nine thematic equity portfolios, allocating an equal weight to each and rebalancing every month to keep the weighting unchanged. The nine themes consist of two strategies focused on health and demographics - biotech and generics; four sustainability themes - water, timber, agriculture and clean energy; as well as security, digital communication and premium brands.
