Ex-Cazenove man Thorpe joins F&C after six weeks at Sarasin

F&C has hired Sarasin's Robert Thorpe as head of consumer.

Thorpe (pictured) will join F&C in December and be responsible for sales and distribution of F&C's retail funds and investment trust ranges. He joins following a six-week spell as head of retail at Sarasin & Partners, having joined the firm on 30 September. Prior to this he spent nine years at Cazenove Capital as head of UK retail before it was acquired by Schroders earlier this year. Thorpe will report to Mandy Mannix, head of client management at F&C.
