City Financial has unveiled a Japan fund for manager Peter Nicholas and re-shuffled its Asian equities desk as it continues to expand.
The group said its Japanese Opportunities fund - a concentrated long-only fund - will launch next week. It will invest across the market cap spectrum, aiming to achieve capital growth for investors. Meanwhile City has also promoted Philip Kay to head of Asia. Kay - who joined in 2012 as a portfolio manager of the offshore non-retail Japanese equity fund - will oversee City Financial's operations in Asia.
