Dalton Strategic Partnership has cut the annual management fee on its Melchior Global Equity fund in a bid to offer retail investors alpha for the cost of a passive fund.
The fund previously had an institutional share class priced at 0.75%, but the new price of 0.25% will be available to retail and institutional investors alike. Additionally, the total expense ratio will be capped at 40bps, with the view to reduce this gradually to 30bps or lower as the fund grows. The fund is managed by a team led by Nick Mottram, who has previously headed up research at Schroders and was head of equities at Investec Asset Management.
