Hawksmoor's Richard Scott has taken a contrarian approach to his rivals by investing in global emerging market equities - predominantly via trusts - following the sell-off.
Emerging markets remains firmly out of favour with investors at present, with huge levels of outflows seen from ETFs in January. In the face of such a negative trend, many managers are avoiding the region or temporarily holding off re-investing, as they wait for some of the macro and political problems to dissipate.
