Oakley Capital has hired F&C's co-head of UK wholesale and a number of ex-Invesco sales staff as its funds team swells to more than a dozen ahead of star manager Neil Woodford's arrival, Investment Week understands.
The team in place at Oakley to support Woodford (pictured) and his new venture - Woodford Investment Management - has already grown to seven sales staff alongside a number of senior personnel and back office support, as the business gears up for the manager's arrival in May. Investment Week understands former Invesco sales manager Simon Dale - who had been working at Matthews Asia until recently - has become Oakley's head of retail sales.
