Baker Tilly faces claim from investors over suspended Brandeaux property funds

Law firm Regulatory Legal is preparing to launch a case against Baker Tilly over alleged mis-selling of Brandeaux property funds.

The case is a bid to gain redress for investors who may have been mis-sold funds from the eight-strong range of unregulated Brandeaux Student Accommodation, Ground Rents, and Dual Assets funds, all of which are suspended. Regulatory Legal is also investigating whether there is scope for similar claims against other advisers who sold the funds. The Brandeaux funds have been suspended since July last year, after Investment Week revealed a long redemption queue built up when liquidity dried up. The fund was sold by advisers at RSM Tenon, which was taken over by Baker Tilly in 2013. ...
