L&G Investments is to make two further hires for its fixed income team following news of the departure of manager Richard Hodges, who will leave the group in October.
In a webcast with head of fixed interest Roger Bartley and head of global high yield Martin Reeves, the firm said it is looking to hire at least two people over the next six to 12 months. The group will target managers with expertise in the absolute return, unconstrained, and strategic bond areas, he said. Reeves, who has taken over from Hodges as lead portfolio manager on the £2bn Dynamic Bond trust, was previously a senior fixed income manager at the firm.
