River & Mercantile hires ex-Man Group FD for CFO role

River & Mercantile Group has hired Kevin Hayes as chief financial officer following the merger of P-Solve and the asset management business.

Hayes previously worked at Man Group as finance director before stepping down in June 2012. Prior to this, he held senior positions at Lehman Brothers and Ernst & Young. His appointment follows last month's completion of the merger between River & Mercantile and investment consultancy P-Solve to create a new entity, River & Mercantile Group. River & Mercantile Group chief executive Mike Faulkner said: "Kevin's background and deep experience is a great match for what we aim to achieve and we are delighted he has joined us.
