Investment Week's Paler scoops top industry award

Investment Week's news editor Nick Paler has won the Investment Journalist of the Year (B2B) Award at the 2014 Headlinemoney Awards.

Judges said Paler "stood out" in his category following a year in which he broke stories including news the FCA would ban fund groups' legacy commission payments to platforms as of 2016. The award is Paler's second in recent months, after he took home the UK Platform Awards' inaugural journalist gong last October. Investment Week's senior asset management correspondent Julia Rampen, meanwhile, was highly commended in the Mortgage Journalist of the Year (B2B) category for her work on Incisive Media's Mortgage Solutions.
