Matthews Asia has expanded its Luxembourg-domiciled fund range with the launch of a concentrated Asian portfolio.
The Matthews Asia Focus fund, managed by Kenneth Lowe, gives investors exposure to a high conviction portfolio of quality Asian companies, the group said. It has been running as a strategy available to US investors since 2013, and the new fund uses the same investment approach. Lowe is supported on the fund by J. Michael Oh, and Sharat Shroff. The portfolio invests in established companies with sustainable growth prospects which the manager sees as capable of delivering attractive returns on capital through varying economic cycles.
