Four headwinds threatening growth in the property sector

F&C property managers Guy Glover and Marcus Phayre-Mudge have identified four key issues which could impact investors in the property sector.

Glover manages the £117m F&C UK Property fund while Phayre-Mudge manages the £60m pan-European F&C Property Growth & Income fund. The pair said they still expect to see double-digit growth in the UK over the next two years, but admitted there are still issues facing the property market. The four problems facing property investors are lease lengths, the death of the retail sector, environmental legislation, and lack of bank lending to properties.
