Invesco Perpetual head of UK equities Mark Barnett is finalising new hires to his team as he seeks to strengthen its capabilities following recent departures to Woodford Investment Management.
Barnett (pictured) emphasised the long tenure of Invesco Perpetual's UK equity managers, including Martin Walker and Ciaran Mallon, but said more analyst hires are necessary although the team will remain "small and close-knit". That follows the departure of three members of the team for Neil Woodford's new venture Woodford Investment Management, as revealed by Investment Week earlier this year.
