Insight looks to Europe as it boosts equity market neutral team

Insight Investment's flagship Equity Market Neutral fund is planning to increase its exposure to European equities following the hire of portfolio manager Gareth Jenkins.

Jenkins (pictured), who has returned to the firm after five years at AllianceBernstein, will work with David Headland running the European equity portion of the £1.1bn fund. His role will see him take responsibility for continental European stocks, in keeping with his analyst role at his former company. Insight began limiting flows into the fund in March, six months after converting the portfolio from a UK to a global remit.
