Old Mutual Global Investors was the big winner at the 19th annual Investment Week Fund Manager of the Year Awards, in a glittering ceremony held on Thursday at London's Royal Albert Hall.
OMGI was named Global Group of the Year, and also won the North America and Global Equity & Income categories, while a number of the group's other funds made the shortlist. The Outstanding Industry Contribution Award went to Jupiter's vice chairman Edward Bonham Carter for his role behind the scenes of the funds industry, lobbying the government, the regulators, and the Treasury, as well as for his part in taking Jupiter from a private to a successful listed business.
