GLG has recruited an additional manager for its Japanese equity team following a sharp rise in assets within its Japan CoreAlpha strategy.
Adrian Edwards has joined the team as a portfolio manager from Stratton Street Capital, and will report to head of Japanese equities Stephen Harker (pictured). Edwards will work alongside senior portfolio managers Jeffrey Atherton and Neil Edwards in running the £1.3bn GLG Japan CoreAlpha fund and the offshore $4.4bn Japan CoreAlpha Equity fund, GLG said.
