Duffield's Brompton eyes multi-asset push after hiring new manager

John Duffield's Brompton Asset Management has hired a new head of multi-asset to spearhead a drive into the sector.

The group already has a range of single mandate funds, including global income and global equity portfolios, but is now planning to build a multi-asset franchise after recruiting the founder of multi-manager business Investment Manager Selection. Antony John, who built up IMS into one of the largest multi-managers in the UK before it was sold to BNP Paribas in 2008, has been recruited as head of multi-asset.
