Michael Clements and Claire Manson are to take over management of the Oyster range of European equity funds after being hired by Swiss group Syz & Co.
Clements (pictured) has been appointed head of European equities at Syz Asset Management, and will manage the offshore Oyster European Opportunities, European Selection and Continental European Selection funds. Manson, meanwhile, will run the European Mid & Small Cap fund. The pair quit Franklin Templeton earlier this year, Clements having been in charge of portfolios including the Franklin European Opportunities fund. He replaces Eric Bendahan at Syz, who the firm said has opted to pursue new career opportunities.
