Franklin Templeton launches multi-manager alternatives fund

Franklin Templeton has launched its first multi-manager alternatives fund for European investors following its acquisition of K2 Advisors in 2012.

Based on an existing US strategy run by alternative solutions provider K2, the Franklin K2 Alternative Strategies SICAV provides access to a variety of hedge fund strategies including event driven, global macro, long/short equity and relative value. Allocations to these strategies will be managed by a trio of K2 managing directors: David Saunders, Brooks Ritchey and Rob Christian.
