Brazier to take over Investec UK Alpha fund in November

Former Threadneedle head of UK equities Simon Brazier will take over as manager of the £181m Investec UK Alpha fund when he begins his career at the asset manager next month.

Brazier (pictured), whom Investment Week revealed last month will be joining Investec Asset Management upon his departure from Threadneedle, will become lead manager of UK Alpha and the £33m offshore GSF UK Equity fund in November. He will replace previous manager Jonathan Parker, and will be supported by fellow ex-Threadneedle man Blake Hutchins as alternate manager, as well as analysts Ben Needham and Anna Farmbrough and product specialist Neil Finlay.
