Brooks Macdonald research head Lau exits

Brooks Macdonald head of research Jonathan Lau has left the firm, with his role being taken over by Richard Larner.

Lau, who worked for Brooks Macdonald for seven years and also sat on the firm's asset allocation committee, has relocated to Hong Kong. He has been replaced as head of research by Larner, currently head of offshore research at the wealth manager. Larner joined Brooks Macdonald in 2012, having been head of research at Spearpoint - the Channel Islands-based group acquired by Brooks in November 2012.
