Henderson Global Investors is launching two new corporate bonds funds - an emerging markets product for Steve Drew and and a global one for James Briggs.
The Emerging Market Corporate Bond fund's objective is to deliver a total return in excess of its benchmark, the JP Morgan Corporate Emerging Market Bond Index Broad Diversified (CEMBI). However, the manager will actively manage interest risk exposure, with the duration of the fund not tied to the average duration of the benchmark. The Global Corporate Bond fund also aims to outperform its benchmark, the Barclays Global Aggregate Corporate Bond index, by investing primarily in investment grade corporate bonds.
