Sanlam restructures fund research process after Surguy exit

Sanlam International Investment has taken over fund research and selection from SPI following the departure of Paul Surguy earlier this month.

Surguy (pictured), formerly head of managed funds at Sanlam Private Investment (SPI), left the firm after 15 years to join Kleinwort Benson. Responsibility will now transfer to Sanlam International Investment instead which is headed up by Justin Greeley and senior portfolio manager Barry Cowen. SPI said the bi-annual Income Study will continue to be produced and distributed as usual.
